What is spring sickness, or May sickness? Its causes and countermeasures

Posted by 大慶堂オンラインショップ on May 12, 2025

As we are enveloped in the warm spring weather, the temperature is warmer and you want to go outside, but do you sometimes feel a bit depressed or unwell? In fact, one of the physical and mental disorders that many people experience during this time of year is "May Sickness." The start of the new school year and the changes in temperature and environment can put a strain on the mind and body. What is May Sickness? Mental symptoms: loss of motivation for work or school, feelings of impatience, anxiety, depression Physical symptoms: chronic fatigue, headaches, upset stomach, insomnia, loss of appetite Social symptoms: fatigue and loneliness in relationships, poor communication at work or school These symptoms are often caused by changes in your daily routine or pushing yourself too hard. [Prevention and countermeasures] To prevent this, it is important to actively regulate your daily routine and take care of your mind and body. You can prevent May sickness by reviewing your daily lifestyle habits, such as getting enough rest, managing stress, eating a nutritionally balanced diet, and exercising moderately. Also, try to go at a pace that suits you and don't push yourself too hard. Taking care of your mind and body and maintaining a healthy daily routine is the key to overcoming May Sickness. Get enough rest and sleep - Work or study at your own pace -Incorporate light exercise and relaxation techniques Eat a nutritionally balanced diet Don't force relationships If you get May Sickness If you suffer from May Sickness, the most important thing is to "not push yourself too hard." Pay close attention to the signs from your mind and body, and prioritize rest and care. It's important to recover at your own pace with the support of those around you. If symptoms persist, it may be a good idea to seek the advice of a professional counselor or doctor for early treatment. And May Sickness doesn't last long. If you're kind to yourself and slowly get back on track, you'll be able to get back to your normal self. Don't rush, and work together with those around you to recover.
